Glipizide, primarily marketed in the US by Pfizer under the trade name Glucotrol, is an oral rapid- and short-acting anti-diabetic medication from the sulfonylurea class. It is classified as a second-generation sulfonylurea, which means that it undergoes enterohepatic circulation.
